Doha Gavels Club
Doha Gavels is the first Gavel club established as a Community Service Initiative of Doha Toastmasters. The mission of Doha Gavels is to enhance personal development in gavelliers and to help them improve their skills in public speaking & leadership.
The club meets on 2nd and the 4thSaturday of every month from 2:45 pm to 5 pm at the Skills Development Centre, New Salata.
Doha Gavel Club is a Platform for young and budding speakers of the future, it is a club dedicated to developing the leadership & communication Skills of youngsters between the age of 12 to 18 years. It is a learn by doing club, wherein youngsters are encouraged to participate in activities including Speech preparation & Delivery, Evaluation,Debate, Just A Minute or JAM, Table topics etc . Ample opportunities to practice their newly acquired skills are on offer during each meeting in the form of role play such as Gavelier of the Day or Master of ceremonies, , Sergeant at Arms, Evaluator, General Evaluator, Table topics master, listener, Grammarian, Timer , Ah Counter etc.
The current Councilor of the Club Is TM Anil Nair, CC ALB, he has been a member of Doha Toastmasters since 2003, He is the Past Asst Director Club Growth Div Q 2015-16,Past Area 28 Governor (2015-16) Past President of Doha Club (2011-2012), Past Ambassador of Revitalized Education Program.
